Zafius Malyveld is the middle son of Elated Prince Darius Malyveld and Isryá Volring. His father Darius is a quarter Rultanik and three-quarters Gifted and he married Isryá Volring, who is also a quarter Rultanik and three-quarters Gifted. Thus, Zafius and his brothers are considered two-eighths Rultanik and six-eighths Gifted, which makes them also 1/4 Rultanik and 3/4 Gifted. Zafius and his brothers are proud of their mixed cultural roots and choose to practice the Rultanik culture as well as their Gifted culture, though they are all chosen by Kyndyl.
He lives in the mighty city of Veneressing with his parents and his brothers, Malleus Malyveld and Zirkonus Malyveld. He is the older twin of Zirkonus and is an apprenticing lapidary.
He is fluent in Dralik and is studying the runes of Kyndyl.
